Mercedes-Benz Unveils 2024 AMG® CLE 53

Mercedes-Benz recently unveiled an all-new AMG® variant called the CLE 53. This new two-door coupe serves as one of the first replacements for the C and E two-door coupe class. Mercedes had previously advertised the creation of a new CLE class, but a new AMG® variant is a welcome surprise. The Mercedes-AMG® CLE 53 appears as a bold and stylish coupe that builds off both the C-Class and E-Class. With a striking exterior and increased performance, the CLE 53 creates a solid foundation for future CLE coupes. We’ll take a closer look at the new AMG® CLE 53 and see what consumers can expect. 

2024 Mercedes-AMG® CLE 53 Arrives

Mercedes-Benz recently unveiled a new AMG® variant in the newly created CLE class. Called the AMG® CLE 53, this luxury two-door coupe builds upon the previous C-Class and E-Class coupes with a bolder style and increased performance. Sitting on the MRA II platform, the CLE 53 utilizes a turbocharged 3L inline-six providing an impressive 443 horsepower. There’s also a 48-volt hybrid system that improves acceleration. Mercedes made improvements to the coupe’s inline-six optimizing its combustion chambers. Equipped with all-wheel drive, the 2024 Mercedes-AMG® CLE 53 sees a 0 to 60 mph time in just 4 seconds.

Aside from the performance boost, the CLE 53 coupe arrives with impressive styling. The two-door luxury coupe features an aggressive hood with a pronounced front grille. The hood sweeps into the windshield down into a pair of fender vents. In the rear, the CLE 53 sees black trim on its fender vents along with an exhaust diffuser. An optional AMG® Performance Studio Package heightens the coupe’s bold aesthetic by adding a spoiler and a larger exhaust diffuser. The CLE 53’s 20-inch wheels add the finishing touch complementing the coupe’s striking look.

Inside the 2024 AMG® CLE 53, owners will find an MB-Texa and microfiber upholstery that comes standard. An optional Nappa leather upholstery adds another layer of luxury with embossed AMG® headrests. Additional aesthetics include a Nappa leather-wrapped AMG® steering wheel and a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster. An 11.9-inch display serves as the infotainment system. Mercedes-Benz hasn’t announced official pricing for the 2024 Mercedes-AMG® CLE 53, but we expect a starting MSRP of about $85,000 (plus destination fee).
