2020 Mercedes-Benz EQC Release Date and Driving Range

It is finally here. The first all-electric Mercedes-Benz model is on its way to drivers who are ready for the future. It’s the 2020 Mercedes-Benz EQC, and we have all the details you need before getting behind the wheel.

Of course, the first thing you’ll want to know is when exactly you’ll be able to actually drive this vehicle. Well, there is no exact date of release, but Mercedes-Benz has stated that the EQC should begin arriving to dealers in the United States sometime in early 2020. We don’t know if that means January, March or June, but we are definitely banking on one of those earlier months. EQC Charging Time and Driving Range

Because the model is so new, Mercedes-Benz doesn’t have official efficiency and range numbers. Those will likely be announced closer to the model’s release.

But, just as important for some drivers, is the charging time. And we do have information on that. If you’re on the go and using a DC Fast Charging station, you’ll be able to charge from 10% to 80% in about 40 minutes. Most of your charging, however, will likely be done overnight when you are at home. When using a 240V/32A wallbox, the EQC can go from a charge of 10% to 100% in 10 hours. So, plug it in when you’re done for the day and it will be ready for you again in time for work the next morning.

Though electric, the EQC is still plenty of fun to drive. Its electric system offers up to 402 horsepower and an incredible 561 lb-ft of torque, so a peppy driving experience won’t be missing from this electric SUV.
