The 2025 Mercedes-Benz EQS arrives with a brand-new refresh. Mercedes-Benz has given the electric luxury sedan a new distinct look that resembles the S-Class coupe. Along with the new design, Mercedes has also increased the EQS’s battery range. Equipped with a larger 118-kWh battery, owners can expect up to 50 additional miles of range from the electric sedan. Mercedes-Benz continues to update its EV lineup adding small and big improvements that enhance the user experience. The German automaker’s progress on its US charging stations has also allowed Mercedes to continue its focus on highly capable EVs. We’ll take a look at the 2025 Mercedes-Benz EQS and see what consumers can expect.

2025 EQS Has A New Look

The 2025 Mercedes-Benz EQS arrives with a brand-new refresh that updates its design and capability. Stylish and luxurious, the EQS now features a more distinct front grille with a three-bar motif and star bonnet hood ornament. This new addition makes the EQS look like the S-Class as it does away with the previous faux grille. The front end also sees new headlights. Inside the electric sedan, owners will find new chrome accents along with a larger infotainment display. The 56-inch wide Hyperscreen now comes standard on the base trim. It houses three screens turning the digital gauge instrument cluster and infotainment screen into a glass panel. The last screen works as a passenger-side touchscreen.

Aside from new aesthetics, the 2025 Mercedes-Benz EQS also receives changes to its battery. The electric luxury sedan now features a 118-kWh battery that adds up to 50 miles of additional battery range. Mercedes has also made improvements to the EQS’s regenerative braking system which helps with driving longer distances. The electric sedan sees up to 340 miles of range but with the new battery that increases to 390 miles. Owners can also make use of a 200-kW fast charger to recharge the EQS from 10 to 80 percent in just 31 minutes.

In terms of performance, the 2025 Mercedes EQS sees 335 horsepower and 419 lb-ft of torque when using a single motor. With a dual-motor setup, the electric sedan features 516 horsepower and 611 lb-ft of torque. Adaptive air suspension and a longer wheelbase give the EQS smooth handling making for a quiet riding experience. The electric sedan does offer impressive acceleration despite the quiet ride. The top-tier EQS580 trim sees a 0 to 60 mph time of just 3.7 seconds. At a starting MSRP of about 106,000 (plus destination fee), the 2025 EQS proves to be a powerful and versatile electric sedan.
