Mercedes-Benz has been on fire with its release of some of its EVs, particularly in its EQ lineup. Its latest release is its 2022 EQB SUV which has two variants: the 300 4MATIC® and 350 4MATIC®. Here’s Everything You Need To Know Before Buying The 2022 EQB.

Interior Upgrades

The interior of this new EQB compact has all of the advantages that you would expect in a luxury vehicle, especially with its soft leather trims and seats with microfiber material to provide just the right amount of grip. There is also optional third-row seating that might be more accommodating to tiny tots.

The latest MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience) system does what it’s supposed to do and what it always has done, and that’s doing everything it can to elevate the drive. It comes with a touchscreen, keyword activation, and steering wheel control for its audio and navigation system. It also has a 10.25-inch-wide screen with several options, along with standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Powertrain

Both EQB variants are powered by the same 66.5 kWh lithium-ion battery. It’s linked with its two electric motors, thereby making it an all-wheel-drive (AWD) system. The 300 model has an output of 225 with 228 lb-ft of torque, while the 350 has an output of 288 horsepower with 324 lb-ft of torque.

This car comes with two charging cables, one meant for traditional home sockets and the other for higher-powered AC outlets. The luxury automaker has not yet published official details about its charging speed and driving range. For all that, it has rapid DC charging, which means that it has the ability to charge up to 110 kilos and push from a charging level from 10% to 80% in just half an hour. Then with the new “Mercedes me” system, owners of the vehicle get 30 minutes of free fast charges at any Electrify America locations for the length of 2 years.

Improvements and Prices

One concern that many owners of the EQB had has the car’s light mass which makes it a bit unstable around curves, luckily the automaker heard these complaints and made the necessary tweaks. Fixing the battery on the floor also refined its center of gravity, allowing the crossover to be more stable, especially around curves. This allows for a more fun and pleasure ride from the battery-powered EV. Other elements like easy handling, a high-grade infotainment system, vast cargo space, and a surplus row of seats make the EQB simply irresistible.

The be base EQB 300 can be had with the starting price of $54,500, (plus destination fee) and $58,050, (plus destination fee) for the 350 model. If you want a full-on upgrade, however, one should expect to pay an extra $2,250 for the 300 trim and $1,500 for the 350. These advancements include a panoramic sunroof, a surround-view camera system, and a Burmester premium sound system.
