How to Change & Customize the Mercedes-Benz A-Class Displays

The latest Mercedes-Benz vehicles are filled with some amazing technologies, and that’s certainly the case with the Mercedes-Benz A-Class. But, this technology isn’t necessarily one-size-fits-all. The displays in the A-Class can be changed and customized to fit your preferences, and we’re talking everything from the instrument cluster to the infotainment screen to the head-up display.

Adjusting the A-Class Instrument Cluster & Head-Up Displays

One way to customize the appearance of your A-Class’ displays is via the instrument cluster style options. Navigating the menu in your instrument cluster begins with using the left Touch Control Button on your steering wheel. Just swipe left or right like you would on your smartphone to cycle through the options until you find “Styles & display.” Press the button to select.

You’ll see options for Classic, Sport and Understated, and can select one that suits your preferences.

The head-up display projects important vehicle information within your line-of-sight on the windshield, and this can be adjusted as well. Swipe up on the Touch Control Button to do so.

Changing the Central Media Touch Screen Display In the A-Class

The central display in your vehicle works like a touch screen and you can customize it in a way similar to your smartphone: just press and hold one of the home screen symbols. Drag and drop those symbols around the home screen as you see fit, then press the checkmark button in the center of the icon whenever you’re ready to save your changes.

Even better, you can set certain themes for your touch screen display. Swipe up from the bottom to reveal the Themes selector, with options ranging from Standard to Trip to Efficiency and more. If you’re a designer at heart, you can create your own theme as well.
