Mercedes-Benz EQS Spy Shots Exposes Its S-Class Influenced Interior
Mercedes Interior Spy Shots
For quite some time, the famous German automaker, it has been known that Mercedes-Benz has been working on an all-electric full-size sedan, dubbed the EQS. It was also known that this vehicle would gain significant influence from the brand’s ever-popular flagship S-Class, more specifically their recently unveiled 2021 model. This isn’t all that surprising, especially given that the EQS adopts a letter from the esteemed vehicle. The latest spy shot photos from MotorTrend gives us a better idea of just how comparable that the EQS and the S-Class sedans will be in the interior.
The most evident relation between the two sedans is the instrument cluster and infotainment screens. The smaller, horizontal screen displays the instruments, while the much longer, vertical display is in charge of infotainment. From behind, the dashboard shows itself to have a slight curve descending in the direction of the occupants. Additionally, the central air vents hunker down from the top of the infotainment screen.
On the other hand, there are some prominent distinctions. Contrasting from the S-Class, the EQS seems to lack a small cubby behind the infotainment screen. Alternatively, the dashboard extends, continuously, from behind and cascades into the center console. One might also notice that the outer air center has a circular shape instead of a rectangular one. Moreover, the EQS has an appealing design with a metal finish on top of the dashboard.
As one should expect, the exterior of the EQS is vastly different from the S-Class. The EQS has a shape that is a bit more smooth and rocks more curves than the ritzy sedan. Some car sites have even commented that the electrified vehicle comes across as a hatchback. Another considerable difference is the powertrain. The concept model had dual electric motors that came up to 469 horsepower and 560 pound-feet of torque. The battery had a rating of 00 kWh with an estimated range of 435 miles. It appears that these production numbers are quite reasonable, which is important when facing off with rivals like the Tesla Model S and Lucid Air.
Mercedes-Benz of Washington
Although the wait for the electrified EQS may take a while, Mercedes-Benz of Washington currently has a wide variety of premium vehicles that are just as sporty and nearly as technologically advanced as the EQS. One model, in particular, would be the big and bad S-Class sedan. There’s a reason why this car was chosen to be the Mercedes flagship model, with its incredibly advanced technology, suburb engine options, and overall enjoyable ride.
The S-Class already includes an array of exciting standard features like air suspension, navigation, lane-keeping assistance, blind-spot monitoring, automatic emergency braking, self-parking, driver-fatigue monitoring, ultra-wide-beam LED headlights, 64-color ambient cabin lighting, and five years of Mbrace Connect service where certain functions are controlled with the user’s smartphone.
The gift just keeps on giving with optional features like the Driver Assistance Package that includes adaptive cruise control, evasive steering assistance. Not to mention, the Premium Package comes with a 360-degree camera system, ventilated/massaging front seats, power rear side-window sunshades, and the Energizing Comfort feature.
Mercedes-Benz of Washington currently has 2020 S-Class 3 560 4MATIC® sedans in our possession. Those who are interested in this or any other Mercedes-Benz vehicle can simply view our online new car inventory and chat with a representative for further assistance.
