The 2022 Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class Is The Limited Edition
The Refashioned 2022 Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class
Last April, Daimler’s subsidiary, Mercedes-Benz revealed the revamped CLS for its 2022 model year. All at once, it has also been confirmed that the more powerful and mighty AMG® CLS 53 will not be available in North America for the upcoming model year, and possibly thereafter. This means that buyers in the States will only be left with the CLS 450. Synchronous with the revealing of the refreshed European CLS-Class lineup, Mercedes-AMG® has also said that a new Limited Edition variant will be welcomed into the family. Only 300 of these follow-ons will be available with a slew of attractive exterior and interior design upgrades.
Apart from the new CLS Limited Edition are new available paint colors, specifically Cashmere White Magno and Selenite Grey Magno. Just above the side sills, you’ll find athletic racing stripes that can be featured in either Dark Grey metallic gloss with the Cashmere White or Black non-metallic gloss (Selenite Grey). These stripes are further accentuated with red non-metallic gloss. The daring look is then brought out more by the black 20-inch AMG® 5-twin-spoke light-alloy wheels. The intense look is enriched by the AMG® Night Package, as well as the AMG® Night Package II, as it has several high-gloss black elements that are dotted around the car’s body. Strangely enough, Mercedes-Benz revealed these new design details without accompanying them with pictures.
Inward, the luxury automaker involved AMG® Nappa leather upholstery as part of its dual-toned Black/Silver Grey Pearl color scheme. The steering wheel receives a combo of Nappa leather and Dinamica in addition to red contrast topstitching. On top of this, the cabin encompasses AMG® carbon-fiber trim. The Limited Edition receives the AMG® Dynamic Plus Package and as a standard, it involves distinctive LED lighting that projects the AMG® badge on the ground when the front doors have been opened. Seeing that the Limited Edition is a Mercedes-AMG®, it’s very plausible that it’s geared with the CLS-53’s 435-horsepower engine. Unfortunately, this means that this powertrain likely won’t make it to the States even if this model comes back in 2023. The newest CLS will begin to make its arrival in European showrooms by August, in contrast, US buyers will have to be patient, as the 2022 CLS 450 4MATIC® won’t arrive until early next year.
More Few More Tech Features To Look Out For
If you know Mercedes-Benz, then you know that the powertrain isn’t the only exciting thing about their vehicles. For each and every model, the automaker ensures the very best when it comes to its interior technologies.
One of the highlighting in-house features of the brand is its MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience) infotainment system. Their newest version comes with a new touchscreen, along with a touchpad that is infused with haptic technology. There is even a voice-activated assistant to aid the driver with a variety of different tasks and functions.
Another cool gadget is the company’s navigation system, which has augmented reality. This feature not only guides drivers to-and-fro but provides information in real-time via a live video feed of the road.
Moreover, the CLS has a great load of standard and optional safety technologies like automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, active lane control, adaptive cruise control, speed-limit recognition, automatic lane changes, and cross-traffic function.
