2021 Mercedes-Benz GLE 53 Coupe AMG® DYNAMIC SELECT Drive Modes
As more people are starting to expect more from their vehicles, manufacturers have responded. A common addition to modern vehicles is selectable driving modes. The Mercedes-Benz version of this is called AMG® DYNAMIC SELECT. This system will adjust the responsiveness of the engine and transmission, the accelerator pedal and steering, suspension damping and the vehicle’s sound. Today, we’ll be covering which AMG® DYNAMIC SELECT drive modes the 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLE 53 Coupe will have.

Seven Drive Programs

The 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLE 53 coupe comes with seven drive programs. These levels are “Slippery,” “Comfort,” “Sport,” “Sport+,” “Individual,” “Trail” and “Sand.” You can select which level you want by using the rocker switch in the center console or the optional AMG® steering wheel buttons. The programs are shown in the multimedia display and instrument cluster.

“Slippery” is best for slippery road conditions by reducing power and producing a flat torque curve for improved stability. “Comfort” uses early upshifts to provide comfortable and fuel-efficient driving. The suspension and steering are adjusted to emphasize comfort. “Sport” has sporty characteristics with improving the response to the driver’s accelerator input, shorter shift times, earlier downshifts and more sport-oriented gearshifts. “Sport+” enhances the sporty drive with a more agile throttle response, increase acoustic emphasis during downshifts, and selective torque control on up shifts with cylinder suppression. “Individual” will adjust the drive system, transmission, AMG® DYNAMICS, suspension and exhaust system to the individual’s driving preference. “Trail” enhances performance on soft, muddy or slippery ground. “Sand” improves grip and steering ability for sandy slopes and dunes.
