Winnebago the long-standing motorhome maker, has recently created the Boldt 70KL, a camper van built on the body of a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter.

Winnebago Industries is an American manufacturer known for their incredible designs of motor homes, and have products ranging from trailers to vans. The Boldt 70KL falls under the “Class B” category that consists of four other vans that have been converted such as the Winnebago Revel and the Ram ProMaster.

The design of this 2020 Sprinter was inspired and named after German explorer Alexander von Humboldt, a naturalist who was known for his expeditions to Central and South America.

This motor home is optimized for use during all four seasons. Amenities include a full bathroom, a kitchen, a sound system, a television and so much more!

Power and Engine

With the help of the chassis’s turbo-diesel engine, the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter is given 188 horsepower at 3,800 RPM. The torque has 325 ft-lbs at 1,400 RPM and the engine has a standard number of 6 cylinders.

Additionally,  there are 3 solar panels that assist in providing energy to the van. There is also the Pure³ Advanced Energy System, which provides 11,600 watt-hours of power in the rechargeable battery. This allows drivers to take the RV anywhere, and even go off-the-grid.

Exterior and Interior

The overall exterior is quite a standard look for a motor home. As of yet, it only comes in one color, which is Iridium Silver. It has LED lights that illuminate the electric patio awning and also comes with a wash station.

The real magic is in the interior, as the LED lights illuminate all over and have gorgeous Vinyl flooring.

One can find storage space throughout, such as truck storage, a front overhead cabinet shelf, as well as a wardrobe.

The kitchen area is wonderfully designed. There you’ll find a refrigerator and freezer unit. It also comes with a stainless steel sink (with a cover) and a bamboo cutting board.

The Boldt 70KL is six feet and four inches; The width is 5 feet, 10 inches.

Incredible Features

Starting off, the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Chassis provides the ideal foundation and is touched with perfection. This motor vehicle is equipped with state-of-the-art technologies such as safety systems and  LED headlights. Apple Car Play and Andriod Auto are also included onto the 10-inch MBUX infotainment with AI voice interface.

Just in time for the changing seasons is the Extensive 4-Season Insulation system. This allows families to travel year-round at their own convenience. The ultra-modern and advanced insulant will provide a cool temperature in the summer and spring, and a warm one in the fall and winter.

In order to accommodate sleeping needs, The Flex Bed System allows one to quickly convert the bedroom or living area spaces into bed arrangements. Turn the twin beds into a bed “fit for a queen” using the new and easy-to-use metal slat bed system; One can also convert the dining room into a single sleeper bed. Regardless of the sleeping arrangement, it’s quick and easy to switch back to the primary setup.

Lastly, the Ram Tough-Track Mounts can be found easily throughout the Boldt 70KL. These mounts are incredibly strong and tough. It allows one the capability to attach electronics, storage baskets, extra tables, workspaces, and many other travel accessories.
