The Mercedes-Benz GLS is set to arrive with several new changes. The three-row SUV was recently seen wrapped in camouflage hinting at a new facelift. The 2025 GLS is also likely to feature new updates inside. While Mercedes-Benz has been focused on hybrids and EVs, the German automaker is shifting its focus toward ICEs. This decision comes after declining EV demand which has caused many automakers to shift their goals. For Mercedes, ICE vehicles will become a priority again with the automaker set to invest upwards of $15 billion toward combustion technology. With the 2025 GLS series, consumers can expect the three-row SUV to feature some new technology alongside a new facelift. We’ll take a closer look at the 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLS and see what consumers can expect.

Mercedes-Benz GLS Receives New Facelift

The 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLS is set to arrive with several new changes. This is evidenced by spy shots of the three-row SUV wrapped in camouflage. Based on the shots, the GLS series will feature an updated front grille and front bumper along with new headlights. The three-row SUV will also receive a redesigned rear bumper with new taillight graphics. These new changes will help the 2025 GLS remain fresh and relevant in a sea of new SUVs.

Owners can also expect new changes inside the 2025 GLS. These include a new steering wheel and a new digital gauge instrument cluster. While there were not many spy shots of the interior, one shot did give us clear information. Mercedes-Benz will implement its hyperscreen display into the GLS which stretches horizontally across the entire dashboard. This triple-screen display is set to feature advanced technology like a video camera that enables conferences when the vehicle is parked.

Additional changes include a powertrain enhancement. Currently, the Mercedes-Benz GLS offers either a turbocharged 3.0L inline engine or a twin-turbo 4.0L V8 engine. The GLS 450 utilizes the 3.0L and delivers 375 horsepower up from 362. The GLS 580 utilizes the 4.0L and while it doesn’t see any increases, it does deliver 510 horsepower. Both powertrain options are smooth and engaging thanks to Mercedes’ air suspension and E-Active body control. At a starting MSRP of $89,200 (plus destination fee), the 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLS is set to stun the competition with its new updates and features.
